In the last seat, 2nd row left is a yellow curly-haired child - Virginia Tonkin - a beautiful child who died with diptheria. The bereaved mother kept the body in the house, n.w. corner of 5th & Seneca, for days. The maid returning with the breakfast tray every morning - 'Virginia doesn't care for breakfast this morning.' The Bd. of Health commanded burial". ( eng )
